Scott Hobbs Joins Cushman & Wakefield as Executive Director

DALLAS, July 23, 2018 – Cushman & Wakefield is pleased to announce that Scott Hobbs has joined the firm as Executive Director within its Office Tenant Representation group. He joins the firm from CBRE, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President.

Ran Holman, Managing Principal and Dallas Market Leader for Cushman & Wakefield, initially hired Hobbs into the business nearly 15 years ago. “Even back then, I was confident he would be a force in the industry,” Holman said. “Despite my high expectations, Scott has exceeded them. His relentless and disciplined approach to business translates into exceptional service to his clients. Beyond his productivity, Scott is a natural leader and team player. He will do great things at Cushman & Wakefield, and I couldn’t be more excited to have him on our team.”

Hobbs has gained a reputation as one of the most active brokers in the region, successfully representing large office tenants such as T-Mobile, JP Morgan Chase, CoreLogic, and TXU Energy. He was named the Dallas Business Journal’s “Rookie of the Year” in 2008, and has since received numerous DBJ Heavy Hitter and D CEO Power Broker awards for his achievements.

“Throughout the series of my conversations with Ran, there has been a resounding theme of their desire to have ‘excellence in every seat,’ regardless of rank, position, or title,” Hobbs said. “They look for quality, not quantity, and that concept resonates with me. I know from experience that when you have highly skilled operators pulling incredibly hard in the same direction, the results can measure that of 20 times their number. It also instills an esprit-de-corps that elevates the effort and performance of the entire group. I’m looking forward to being a contributing part of that.”

A graduate of Texas A&M University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Medicine and Naval Science, Hobbs entered the commercial real estate industry after serving for eight years as a commissioned Navy SEAL Officer. A decorated combat veteran, he has circled the globe three times in the service of the U.S. Navy and Joint Special Operations Command.

Hobbs begins his new role at Cushman & Wakefield today.
