VanTrust Real Estate announced today that The Offices One at Frisco Station has received a Wired Certified Platinum rating from WiredScore, a digital connectivity rating platform for commercial real estate that champions cutting-edge technology in office buildings. The building, which features AT&T’s 5G Evolution wireless technology, is one of only three buildings in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to achieve Wired Certified Platinum, which is the highest certification level awarded for properties with exceptional technology infrastructure.
Wired Certification is an internationally-recognized platform for rating the infrastructure, connectivity and technological capacity of commercial buildings. WiredScore specifically recognized The Offices One for its number and quality of internet service providers, redundancy and resiliency of telecom infrastructure, ease of installation and capacity to readily support new telecom services.
“Providing a premium in-building technology experience is now a key component in retaining tenants and ensuring their productivity needs are met,” said Mark Dowdle, WiredScore’s head of the Dallas-Fort Worth region. “Achieving the designation signals to the market an investment in future-proofing these properties for years to come.”
The Offices One is part of Frisco Station, a 242-acre development located adjacent to the Dallas Cowboys’ World Headquarters at The Star. The entire campus was built from the ground up with 5G Evolution wireless technology from AT&T, which enables a peak theoretical wireless speed of 400Mbps for capable devices, or an average around 40Mbps based on real-world experiences. With a focus on innovative technologies, the “smart” campus also includes Drive.ai self-driving vehicles and will feature Uber Elevate aerial ridesharing.
“We are very excited that The Offices One at Frisco Station has attained the Platinum rating from WiredScore,” said Geoff Meyer, Executive Vice President of VanTrust Real Estate. “It is paramount to us that our office development incorporates cutting-edge technology to attract the best tenants. This certification is just another example of our commitment to building offices utilizing the latest technology.”
Wired Score expanded into the Dallas market in late 2018. Today, more than 450 million square feet of office space in more than 1,700 buildings has been Wired Certified across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France and Germany.
Clint Madison, John Fancher, Doug Jones and Christy Thelen of Cushman & Wakefield oversee leasing for The Offices One at Frisco Station. Cushman & Wakefield also handles property management for the building.
The Offices One at Frisco Station is a seven-story, 230,000-square-foot (sf) Class A office building that was completed in December 2017. Next door, construction began in late 2018 on The Offices Two, Frisco Station’s newest office building. The six-story, 210,000-sf property will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019.
